             Twitter, launched in 2006 is an online social media platform to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent messages. People post Tweets, which may contain photos, videos, links, and text. These messages are posted to your profile, sent to your followers, and are searchable.

                On October 27 2022, Elon Musk acquired twitter, gaining the control of the platform.

Elon Musk serves as CEO (chief executive officer) to the company.

                Since 2012 , the blue bird is the logo of twitter which signifies freedom of thoughts and ideas.

                So what's the interesting news here?

            Twitter logo is no longer the iconic "blue bird". Elon Musk has changed the logo and replaced it with "doge" meme of Dogecoin cryptocurrency. Below is the new logo.

                Musk also shared a screenshot of an old conversation with a user who asked him to ‘Buy Twitter and change the bird logo to a doge’ and wrote, ‘as promised’.

Why did Elon Musk change the twitter logo?

              This move of Elon Musk, has left many wondering about his intentions behind this change.

                As we all know, this is not the first time Musk has made changes to twitter & its policies.

           Firing of Employees 

                   He has initially fired many employees of twitter which also include the higher level board members like former CEO Parag Agarwal and other board members.

           Changes to Verification

                    Earlier, few user accounts of twitter have "blue tick" which signifies that as a verified user. Musk has announced that twitter will charge $8 per month for this privilege to whoever want blue tick to their accounts. Experts say that this removes the validation of verified users, as anyone who pays $8/month will be shown as verified user without any checks.

 Musk tweeted " Twitter's current lords and peasants system for who has or doesn't have a blue checkmark is bullshit. Power to the people! Blue for $8/month.

                      The switch of logo to the "doge meme" logo featuring a Shiba Inu is currently only visible on web version of twitter, while the android app of twitter still has "blue bird" logo.

 We are yet to know whether it's a temporary change or a permanent twitter logo.
